Go Between Bridge
Due for completion in mid 2010, the Hale Street Link Alliance is constructing the Go Between Bridge, a key component in Lord Mayor Campbell Newman's multi-billion dollar TransApex plan aimed at ensuring Brisbane is a well designed, accessible and connected city for now and into the future.
Go Between Bridge will be a four-lane tolled cross-river connection from Coronation Drive and Hale Street in Milton to Montague Road, Merivale and Cordelia streets in South Brisbane.
CLEM7 Control Centre
Scheduled to open in early 2010 the 6.8 kilometre CLEM7 is the first component of the Brisbane Lord Mayors TransApex plan designed to ease traffic congestion in Brisbane.
CLEM7 will connect Woolloongabba in the south to Bowen Hills in the north, and will be the first section of the new M7 motorway.
The 6.8 kilometre tollway will be monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week from the tollway control centre (TCC) located at Bowen Hills. Staffed by up to 40 experienced and trained personnel the TCC has state-of-the art features and systems to monitor and operate the CLEM7 including:
- two 4.8km long parallel tubes, with each dedicated to north or southbound traffic,
- for safe access in emergencies, the tubes are joined by 10m long cross-passages which are well-signed and lit, and are located every 120m throughout the tunnel,
- more than 250 cameras operating at all times that automatically detect and alert tunnel operators to any variations in normal traffic flow, identify incidents and allow the operators to transmit direct messages to motorists via radio broadcast,
- an overhead sprinkler system is in place while extinguishers and hoses are located every 60m in case of fire,
- emergency phones connecting directly to the TCC are located every 120m,
- interior lighting provides high visibility.
These systems will enable the smooth operation of CLEM7 and help ensure it is one of the safest tunnels in Australia.

BrisConnections is currently building the Airport Link toll road between Brisbane's CBD and the airport precinct, the Northern Busway extension (Windsor to Kedron) and the Airport Roundabout Upgrade at a total cost of $5.6 billion. The 3 projects comprises tunneling works using tunnel boring machines and roadheaders and major surface works, including the construction of a major flyover bridge, The combination of PPP and state funded projects has enabled major innovations to be incorporated into the overall design of this major infrastructure project. On this tour BrisConnections will give you an overview of the project as they visit the key worksites across the project.

RAAF Amberley is host to Australia's frontline military aircraft including the F-111, C-17 and F-18 SuperHornet from 2010. Hinze Dam

Hinze Dam is located on the Nerang River upstream of the Gold Coast in south-east Queensland and is being delivered by the Hinze Dam Alliance, which comprises Seqwater and non-owner partners, Thiess, SKM, and URS for completion deadline by end of 2010. The Hinze Dam Stage 3 project comprises raising the dam by 15 metres, which includes raising the existing embankments, spillway and two intake towers as well as extending the saddle dam across the right abutment area. The project will deliver reduced flood risk to downstream areas and increased water supply to the Gold Coast and the broader south-east Queensland region.
Bundamba Advanced Water Treatment Plant

The Bundamba Advanced Water Treatment Plant purifies Brisbane's wastewater. It receives secondary treated water from four wastewater treatment plants. High grade water is produced using advanced membrane technologies of microfiltration and reverse osmosis, with a final purification by ultraviolet light. Visitors will learn about how advanced technology purifies recycled water, how water is moved by south-east Queensland water grid, and who uses the recycled water.
